From the Holy Kakow website~Our single origin Organic Cacao Powder is made from the highest quality Pruvian cocoa nibs. Our cocoa is cultivated in the southern Andes in the Ayacucho region of Peru. The cocoa powder is mainly from the Criollo varietal with a little Arriba Nacional. This powder is lightly processed, packed with antioxidants, magnesium and other essential minerals providing a rich flavor and velvety texture only available in this classic, non-alkalized organic cocoa. Our cocoa powder is produced organically using sustainable farming practices and purchased at better than fair trade prices. We're green and proud of it!
